LETTER: Despite support for Medicaid expansion, GOP fight continues

To Ozaukee Press:

Despite the majority of Wisconsin residents supporting the $180 million-a-year Medicaid expansion, our Republican legislators are fighting it. 

This means hospitals will continue to shift costs incurred by the uninsured to the insured.

It also means that families who are eligible for the expanded coverage will not receive it.

With the high cost of nursing homes, Medicaid is an essential source of funds.
