LETTER: Denying bar license should have been an easy decision

To Ozaukee Press:

This is a response to the letter to the editor in last week’s Ozaukee Press titled “How did candidates come to opposite views on bar license of Little Kohler Haus?”

If I was a Town of Fredonia supervisor, I would have voted to not grant the license. My reason is very simple: If you have pleaded guilty to selling liquor without a license, you should not get reinstated. There was a few other issues as well, such as noise complaints and recent deaths, which also showed a lack of responsibility on the owner’s part.

I was a board trustee for many years in a neighboring village that held quite a few liquor licenses and had to weigh all concerns to make the decision to grant or deny them. It a heavy responsibility that comes down to the safety of residents and visitors to our community.                           Jennifer Strohmeyer
