LETTER: Data center is not compatible with Port’s appealing image
To Ozaukee Press:
Way back in the late 1960s, I spent some wonderful summers working for the Ozaukee Press under the guidance of Bill Schanen.
After a career in journalism, I’m surprised to hear of this plan for a huge data center at the north edge of Port Washington.
It seems to go against the great image of Port as a tourism draw because of all of its natural beauty and great access to Lake Michigan. To me, it raises all sorts of questions about the future of the community.
