LETTER: Covid relief money not meant to be spent on nature preserve

To Ozaukee Press:

Just a bit put off by the use of ARPA funds for the Cedar Gorge Clay Bluffs Nature Preserve, which has essentially nothing to do with their intended use.

This funding was sold to the American taxpayers as a desperately needed fix for those whose jobs and businesses were affected by the Covid shutdown.

Instead of being sent back to the federal coffers as unneeded, this money was spent on what a cynic might call vote buying. This is pure OPM—other people’s money.
