Legion accepting donations for clothing drive
The Landt-Thiel American Legion Post 470 Auxiliary will hold a winter clothing drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Legion Hall, 601 W. Dekora St.
Donations are sought of clean, gently used adult and children’s clothes, including winter jackets, hats, socks, gloves, mittens, sweaters, sweatshirts and boots.
No summer clothes will be accepted.
The items will be donated to the Port Washington Food Pantry for distribution to people in need and to the Clothing Closet for Homeless Veterans.
