Lakeshore Symphonic concert is on Oct. 13

Lakeshore Symphonic Band will perform its first concert of the season at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Cedarburg Performing Arts Center.

The concert theme is “Music of the 80s.”

The first half of the concert will feature music from iconic 1980s pop and rock artists, including A-ha, Journey, Whitney Houston and Queen.

The second half will showcase music that was released during the era, such as songs from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Back to the Future” and “E.T.”

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door.  Children younger than 5 and students with ID will be admitted at no charge.

Lakeshore Symphonic Band, which is based in southeast Wisconsin and was established in 1976, is comprised of 61 adult musicians and is directed by Johanna Anderson, associate director of instrumental music at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon.
