A lake mood that was perfect for paddlers

Lake Michigan has a lot of personalities, and last week it was calm and warm, perfect conditions for the paddle boarders and kayakers that set off from Port Washington’s south beach to enjoy the water and the gentle breeze that kept temperatures comfortable at the shore. Although near record high lake levels have significantly reduced the size of the city’s south beach, it remains a popular spot to launch all types of paddle craft.                                                                         Photo by Sam Arendt
