Kids to get muddy in Fredonia Saturday

The MUDonia Kids Mud Run will be held Saturday, July 27, at Marie Kraus Park.

The event is open to children ages 4 through 12 who are looking for a fun and challenging run.

The run — not a race — offers course lengths and obstacles to challenge children in each age group. Participants are routed throughout various obstacles, water features and mud pits that are staffed by volunteers.

After the race, food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Parents are welcome to run along with young children, ages 4 to 6, if they need encouragement.

Registration includes a wristband for entry, custom T-shirt and finisher medal. The fee is $40.

Race times are 9 a.m. for ages 10 to 12 on the one-mile course, 10 a.m. for ages 7 to 9 on the 3/4-mile course and 11 a.m. for ages 4 to 6 on the half-mile course.
