PAID OBITUARY
Julie Ann Remberg (nee Neuenfeld), 65, of Oostburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.
Julie was born Aug. 29, 1953, to the late Edward and Lorraine (Patzen) Neuenfeld of Mequon.
She graduated from Homestead High School in 1971. After high school, Julie went on to college at Cardinal Stritch University and graduated in 1975 with a degree in library science.
Julie worked for the Mequon-Thiensville School District as the district’s registrar until retiring in 2008 to become a full-time grandma to her grandchildren.
On Aug. 21, 1976, she married Joel G. Remberg of Mequon. They were blessed with 42 years of marriage.
Along with being with her family and spoiling her grandchildren, Julie found a great deal of enjoyment from sewing and cross-stitching, working through her stacks of puzzle books and taking care of her pets.
She traveled with her husband when they could and loved going to their favorite local restaurants for dinner.
In addition to her husband, Julie is survived by her two sons, Christopher (Rebecca) Remberg and Brian (Holly) Remberg; five grandchildren, Wyatt, Reagan, Piper, Amelia and Chase; her sister Mari (Robert) Schmidt; her sister-in-law Joy Neuenfeld, and many nieces; nephews; relatives; and friends.
In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her brothers Edward Neuenfeld and Gary (Colleen) Neuenfeld and her nephews Michael Neuenfeld and Mark Neuenfeld.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg at 4 p.m., with Pastor Dave Veldhorst officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the service at 4 p.m.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
