Incumbent Hansher, challenger Krane survive County Board primary
Ozaukee County Supr. Jeffrey Hansher and challenger James Krane will face off in the 24th District in Mequon in the April 7 general election following Tuesday’s primary for the County Board seat.
Hansher garnered 198 votes, or 69%, while Krane collected 56, or 20% of the 268 votes cast. They outpolled the other challenger, Mike Basso, who received 32 votes, or 11%.
Hansher, a retired teacher, was elected to represent the 24th District in 2024. He serves on the Public Safety Committee and Jail Literacy Board. He also is a Mequon alderman.
Kane is a local businessman and served on the County Board from 2022 to 2024, representing the 24th District.
