Hydrant flushing starts Monday
Hydrant flushing in the Village of Belgium will begin on Monday, Oct. 14, Director of Public Works Dan Birenbaum said.
Work will start on the east end of the village and travel west. Crews will flush hydrants from about 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays until the end of the month, Birenbaum said.
Residents should avoid doing laundry during those hours since rusty water could get into service laterals, he said.
Anyone who gets discolored water or has any questions is directed to call Village Hall at 285-7931.
