Hydrant flushing to begin next week

Hydrants in the Village of Belgium are set to be flushed from Oct. 12 through Nov. 7.

The flushing will be done from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

If residents’ water is discolored, they are asked to run their tap for a few minutes. The water is safe to use.

The village recommends residents wash their clothes at night during this time to avoid stains.
