Honoring hometown heroes on the gridiron

Grafton football players ran onto Kellner Field with American flags on Friday in honor of first responders and the military. From left were Thomas Petersen (72), Jeremy Dickerson Jr. (2), Tommy Lutz, Brady Hilgart (11), Tyler Van Sluys (5) and Gavin Lempke (1). At halftime, 2024 Military and First Responders Appreciation Honorees Steve Shock, Andrew Marriott, Ralph Beck and Brad Arndt were recognized. The tradition started four years ago by coach Jim Norris, and the event grew to include the Grafton Chamber of Commerce and the community.
