Harriet A. Augustin

    Harriet A. (nee Burkel) Augustin of Port Washington, passed away Sept. 19, 2020, at the age of 87.
    She was the beloved wife of Leonard C. Augustin (preceded in death April 15, 2013), and the dear mother of Jean Clark (Mike Perkins), Linda (Kent) Bergemann, Steve (Denise) Augustin and Debbie Buchholz (Marvin Fechter).
    Harriet loved traveling, golf, bridge, sheepshead, art and floral work. She was the floral manager at Sentry Food Store from the late 1960s until retiring in 1985.
    She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister Donna (John) Knoeck, brother Edmund Ted (Carol) Burkel, sister-in-law Helen Burkel and other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by brother Gerald Burkel, sister and brother-in-law Arlene (Clarence) Fechter, sister Rosemary Burkel, and son-in-law Bob Buchholz.
    A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington.
    Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Mausoleum on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m.
