Grafton shows its colors in Memorial Day tribute

A heartfelt tribute to American’s military veterans took center stage during annual Memorial Day ceremonies in Grafton on Monday, May 31. Although some of the traditional activities were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the observance again featured a parade from the Rose-Harms American Legion Hall to Veterans Memorial Park on 13th Avenue. Leading the procession were members of the post’s color guard (top photo). Jane Wegner checked the names printed on dog tags attached to American flags that line the walkway in the park (left photo). Each tag contained the name of a past Rose-Harms Legion Post member who has died. The dog-tag project was established by the Grafton Sons of the American Legion.
