Grafton Chamber celebrates community contributions with awards
The Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce honored people and businesses that have contributed to the community at its annual meeting and award reception on May 23 at the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center in Grafton. Among those participating in the event and receiving awards were (from left) Chamber Executive Director Elizabeth Mueller; Sally Cole, a staffer for U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman who presented award winners with congressional commendations; Chamber Vice President Hailey Nenonen; Chamber President Mary Karnitz; Doug Arendt, a longtime Grafton School District music teacher who received the Outstanding Career Educator Award; Grafton Village President Dan Delorit; Kirsten Coenen and Lexi Everson of Kohler Credit Union, which received the Outstanding Business Award; and Anna, Slava and Liza Krol.
