Gallery 224 to celebrate its 50th exhibit Dec. 5
Gallery 224 in Port Washington is celebrating its 50th exhibit with a fundraising event and exhibit that opens Thursday, Dec. 5.
The reception and fundraising event will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
Tickets are $100 per couple, and they serve not only as admission but as a voucher for one 6-by-6-inch artwork from the exhibition. Every ticket holder will leave with a piece of art.
Each ticket holder will receive a raffle ticket when they arrive and will have the opportunity to purchase additional raffle tickets for $5 each.
The raffle will determine the first 10 people to select a piece of artwork from the exhibit. After that, those attending will have their pick of the remaining pieces of art.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and the selection process will begin at 6 p.m.
Proceeds go to support the future of Gallery 224, Studio 224 and the Arts Council.
The remaining pieces of art will be available for purchase at the Arts Council by ticket holders on Dec. 6 and 7.
The Arts Council will also be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14.
