GALA summer concert series starts July 11
Grafton’s summer concert series, Grafton Area Live Arts, kicks off this week.
The concerts, held on Thursdays throughout the summer, are in Veterans Memorial Park from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The July 11 concert features Suzie & The Detonators, a five-piece band that specializes in pop, rock and disco party music.
On July 18, Whole Yachta Love will perform music of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
WhiskeyBelles, a female trio playing traditional country and Americana music, will take the stage on July 25.
Joe 2.0, which blends an electric string quartet, drums and the vocals of Xeno, the original lead singer of the band Cheap Trick, will perform on Aug. 1.
On Aug. 8, Groove Therapy, a nine-piece band that performs soul, rock, funk, disco and rhythm and blues, will take the state.
FM Rodeo, a country band that plays the music of the 1980s and ’90s through today, will perform on Aug. 15.
Concluding the summer series on Aug. 22 will be Hot Rod Huey & the B Sides, a nine-piece band that is known as a Huey Lewis and the News tribute project.
