The time for children to play in mud while getting exercise is near.
The third annual MUDonia Kids Mud Run in Fredonia will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Marie Krause Park.
It is open to children ages 4 to 12 with courses tailored to each age group.
The run, which is not a race, offers appropriate course lengths to challenge children. The course includes obstacles, water features and mud pits. Volunteers staff each obstacle.
Parents are welcome to run along with children ages 4 to 6.
Registration includes a wristband, T-shirt, finisher medal and a coupon for a free lunch after the run. Tickets are $44.52 for adults and $33.85 for children and may be bought at https://tinyurl.com/4d4xvp.
