Fish Day run is Saturday
Registration is underway for Port Washington’s annual Fish Day Walk/Run.
Events on July 21 feature a competitive, chip-timed eight-kilometer run, a two-mile fun run and a two-mile walk.
Registration costs $30 per person or $23 per person with families of three or more participants.
Proceeds from the race go to Portal Inc., which provides training and employment opportunities for developmentally disabled adults in Ozaukee County.
Race day registration will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the Port Washington Visitor’s Center, 126 Grand Ave.
Racers will line up at 7:45 a.m. with the race starting at 8 a.m.
The route has runners going west on Grand Avenue, turning north on N. Webster St. and working their way up to E. Norport Drive. Runners will head east on E. Norport, then south on Noridge Trail, working their way south back to where they started.
Categories for the 8K are broken out by gender and age, including 13 and younger, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 5-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 and older.
