Family caregiver series continues on Aug. 15

An educational series for family caregivers is being held continues with a Tuesday, Aug. 15, program run by Caregiver Connection of Ozaukee County.

The series addresses issues that may develop as roles change within a relationship when people are caring for a family member or friend.

Sessions are held once a month from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds North Pavilion, W67 N866 Washington Ave., Cedarburg.

Each session will feature a panel of local professionals and community partners of the Caregiver Connection.

On Tuesday, Aug. 15, the topic will be “Preparing for Financial and Legal Needs.”

The Thursday, Sept. 21, session will be “Riding the Emotional Rollercoaster and Communication.”

  The final session on Thursday, Oct. 19, will addressing “Changing the Ending: Understanding Palliative Care and Hospice.”

Separate onsite respite activities will be held in conjunction with each session.
