Ethel L. Kidd
Ethel L. Kidd, 81, of Grafton, died Sunday, Oct. 14, at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon.
Mrs. Kidd was born in Chicago on July 8, 1937, to John and Ethel Schnurstein Fraus.
On June 11, 1955, she married Norman Kidd.
Her family said she will be remembered for her generosity, strong faith in God, and flair for design and decorating.
“She was really into the holidays and always made those moments special for our big family,” her daughter Lisa said.
Mrs. Kidd was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies included bowling, golfing, knitting, counted cross-stitching, painting, crocheting and playing card games. She loved being creative and expressed her love of art through color, often decorating in vibrant deep colors, her family said.
Mrs. Kidd is survived by her husband Norman of Grafton; children Russell (Lorelei) of Grafton, Pamela Nunez of Port Washington, David (Alicia) of Indiana, Michael (Julie) of Grafton and Lisa Kidd of Fond du Lac; grandchildren Jason Tetzlaff, Jeffrey (Mariana) Tetzlaff, Justin (Allyson) Nunez, Courtney Nunez, Cody (Jamie) Kidd, Ian (Hannah) Kidd, Cassandra Kidd and Kellie (Andrew) Thelen; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by her brother John (Ruth) Fraus of Illinois and sister Kathy (Larry) Skadauski of Arizona.
Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by son Steven and granddaughter Krista Kidd.
Funeral services were to be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. Visitation was to held at the church on Thursday from 2:30 to 4:15 p.m.
Interment was to be at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Freistadt.
Memorials to St. Jude’s Hospital are suggested.
Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, is handling the arrangements.
