Election to include village, school district
The Town of Fredonia won’t have its elected officials on the ballot until 2024, but the 2023 election will include positions in the Village of Fredonia and Northern Ozaukee School District.
In the village, the seats held by trustees Dan Gehrke, Bill McLarty and John Long are up for election, as well as that of Village President Don Dohrwardt.
Gehrke has already announced his candidacy for Village Board, and Dohrwardt at the Nov. 17 Village Board meeting announced he will see a trustee spot instead of running for village president. Dohrwardt said he supports Gehrke’s bid for village president.
In the Northern Ozaukee School District, the Village of Fredonia seat held by Jennifer Clark, the Town of Fredonia seat held by Kevin Klas and the Town of Saukville seat held by Brent Neis are up for election.
People may take out papers to run beginning Thursday, Dec. 1.
