Eaton’s Fresh Pizza moves into Grafton with take-and-bake pies

Downtown Grafton has a new pizza place.

Eaton’s Fresh Pizza opened on Dec. 3 at 1615 Wisconsin Ave., and owner Corey Faust said moving into Grafton was a simple idea due to people wanting to grab a take-and-bake pizza and not deal with the hassle of going to a restaurant during the coronavirus pandemic.

Faust has been operating in Washington County for several years and wanted to move into Ozaukee County since the past year due to customer demand.

“We had a fair amount of people from Ozaukee coming from Port Washington, Cedarburg Mequon and Grafton. I realized Ozaukee would be a really good place to grow and I thought of Grafton,” he said.

Faust searched for more than a year for a second location and landed in Grafton, adding the opportunity was too good to pass up.

“Grafton has a number of pizza joints but I thought there was a need for people to get something to grab and go,” Faust said.

Faust said that he wanted to choose a growing community and noted Grafton is a great location because many of his ingredient providers, for cheese and pork, are stationed around the area.

Faust also cited the work ethic of his employees, who are mostly made up of high school and college students, have helped during the expansion. Faust said his store managers Tiana Boone and Heather Ferdinand have been a godsend for helping him during the process.

“A lot of people don’t think millenials can get the job done, but I disagree,” he said. “I just look for someone who has a strong work ethic and I don’t care how old you are. Sure, it takes a little coaching and that’s how you learn.”

Faust said he had to downsize his menu, meaning he removed sub sandwiches for the time being, but would like to return to that option in the near future.

“I want to play it safe and see how people feel,” he said.

Faust also wants to help local organizations in Grafton and said he is working with the Grafton Area Chamber to help the cause.

“I think it is important to help out you neighbors and let them know that even though we are a pizza place, we can still help you out,” Faust said.
