December activities for children set at Port library

December activities for children at the Niederkorn Library in Port Washington have been announced.

The library will hold storytimes for children from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays. Crafts will be available to take home after the storytime.

Masks are encouraged.

A STEAM storytime featuring science, technology, engineering, the arts and math will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays, Dec. 13 and 27.

A sensory Saturday designed for families with a child who has a sensory processing disorder or is on the autism spectrum will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 11. Participants should dress to make a mess.

A 4-H watercolor painting program will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, in the community room.

This is an introduction to watercolor class led by Ozaukee County 4-H educator Jayna Hintz and is designed for children with their parent or guardian.

Those attending will learn simple watercolor techniques and create a winter scene.

The class size is limited so advance registration is suggested.  

Reading to therapy dog Diesel will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays in the community room.
