Debra Didier

Debra “Debbie” Didier, age 66, of Port Washington, Wis., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend, Wis.
She was born on July 5, 1954, in Port Washington, the daughter of Leonard and Ella Last Didier.
A lifelong resident of the city, Debbie graduated from Port Washington High School.
She would work a variety of jobs throughout her life, but most important was the loving care she provided for her dear parents. Since their deaths, Debbie worked at Harbor Campus and in other caregiving roles.
More often than not, Debbie could be found at the Port Washington Senior Center, where she has been a member and volunteer for many years. She has enjoyed many events and the friendships they brought.
She will be remembered for her many deeds and actions of kindness over the years to friends and strangers alike.
Debbie spent her quiet time writing poetry and short stories. She enjoyed nature and photography, taking her camera everywhere. Recently she missed going to the movies, but relished the old ones on TV. She also missed her lunches with friends but participated through the senior center to remain social this past year. Ceramics were another hobby she enjoyed. Debbie would assist newcomers to the craft and had shown her work in ceramics, photography, and poetry at the Ozaukee County Fair.
In the past, Debbie was a Sunday school teacher. She even traveled to Australia to meet a pen pal. She also enjoyed traveling with her parents around the US.
Debbie is survived by her brother Richard “Dick” (Phyllis) Didier of Cedarburg, brother-in-law Warren Lemke of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and the many friends and acquaintances at the senior center and the city.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Norma “Joyce” Lemke, Bernice Nault and Dorothy Nothem, her brothers Philip and Robert Didier and his wife Lorraine.
