Deadline extended for noncandidacy filings

The deadline for incumbent candidates in the spring 2021 election to file notices of noncandidacy has been extended to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

The commission’s calendar had said the deadline was 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25, Christmas Day.

Candidates for political offices could begin circulating petitions this week to run in the spring 2021 election.

All seats are for two-year terms.

Completed nomination papers are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. If a primary is necessary, it will be held Tuesday, Feb. 16. 

Incumbents whose seats will be on the April 6 ballot are:

• In the Village of Saukville, President Barb Dickmann and trustees David Maglio, Richard Belling and Andy Hebein.

• In the Town of Saukville, Chairman Don Hamm and supervisors Curt Rutkowski and Mike Denzien.

• In the Village of Newburg, President Dave DeLuka and trustees Amy Marquardt, Sandy Stockhausen and Bill Sackett.
