Daniel L. “Dano” Rick, age 60, of the Town of Wescott, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at his home.
Dano was born on Nov. 28, 1959, in Port Washington, a son of the late John L. and Elaine R. JaJe (nee Berres) Rick Jr.
He attended Port Washington schools, but dropped out before graduating high school. However, later in life he returned to school and received his HEGED from MATC in Mequon.
Through the years, Dano worked as a forklift operator in several distribution centers. He started his career at Ataco Steel in Grafton, where he worked from the late 1970s into the early 1980s. He then worked 16 years at Masterlock, followed by 12 years at Kohler, and his latest position was at Nemschoff in Sheboygan, where he worked for 10 years.
Dano married the love of his life, Peggy Shepherd, on Sept. 30, 1978, at Ozaukee Baptist Church in Cedarburg, Wis.
Dano’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and watching NASCAR, and he was an avid Packers fan. He was a very dedicated worker, and was known as someone always willing to lend a hand.
