Dancin’ the day away

Cedar Grove-Belgium Elementary School held its mid-year positive behavior celebration last week. Students who received recognition for good behavior got to put a ping pong ball into an aquarium. A full tank earned a dance party. A second full tank earned glow sticks and a third allowed for song requests that would be taken, Principal Jeff Kondrakiewicz said, “under the advisement of the DJ Jazzy Grace King,” who doubles as the district’s library media specialist. Second-graders dancing in the gym on Friday included (top photo, from left) Eva Hochmeister, Sailor White, Marley Salmon and Megan Williams. Bottom photo, second-graders Grace Brandt (grey shirt), Leona Litke (headband) Anja Kaas (heart pants) and Levi Vorpahl (far right) got down to the music. Photos by Sam Arendt
