On Wednesday, Dec. 6, festive houseplants will be the topic of the recorded program shown in the library’s community room from 11 a.m. to noon.

The session will provide instruction for keeping poinsettia, Christmas cactus, Norfolk Island pine and other popular seasonal plants thriving with  proper light, watering, fertilizer and humidity.

Managing a hobby greenhouse will be the topic of the Wednesday, Dec. 13, webinar.

From 11 a.m. to noon, Johanna Oosterwyk, manager of the D.C. Smith Greenhouse at UW-Madison, will explain the challenges of creating a greenhouse and the factors that need to be considered, including temperature, humidity and light.

The Recipe Club will be tasting Crock-pot meals when it meets at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14.

Participants should bring their favorite slow-cooker meal and the recipe to share.
