County, Port center to offer virtual Medicare workshop

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Ozaukee County will partner with the Port Washington Senior Center to offer a virtual Medicare 101.

ADRC Elder Benefit Specialist Laura Schimberg will host the workshop from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30. People can participate using either video or phone options or meet at the senior center, 403 W. Foster St., to watch as a group with Senior Center Director Catherine Kiener, who will join the meeting remotely.

The Medicare 101 workshop is for those new to Medicare. It highlights eligibility and enrollment in Medicare and what coverage includes. Information about health and drug plans specific to Ozaukee County will be available as well as tips about what to look for in coverage. 

Future sessions will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, and from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
