CG-Belgium baseball players inspire future Rockets

Several Cedar Grove-Belgium High School baseball players recently visited teacher Kris Sass’ first-grade class at Cedar Grove-Belgium Elementary School and spoke about their experiences playing America’s pastime and what it means to be a student athlete. The players (from left) Bryce Morgan, Cameron Kirst, Tyler Kraus and Jason von Heimburg also signed baseballs for their young fans and taught them basic skills during outdoor drills. At the end of each school year, Sass invites players to help her students gain an appreciation for baseball, learn the rules and positions of the game and understand the emphasis Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets athletes place on includes hard work, determination, dedication and academic achievement.                     Photo by Sam Arendt
