Cecilia Schueller

Cecilia M. Schueller died on Monday, Dec. 31, at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Ozaukee in Mequon. She was 83.
She was born on Jan. 25, 1935, in Port Washington to William and Olive Berres Schmitz of Saukville.
She attended Immaculate Conception School in Saukville through eighth grade and Port Washington High School, graduating in 1953.
She married Frederick D. Schueller on Nov. 20, 1954, at Immaculate Conception Church, after which they lived in the Belgium-Holy Cross area for 61 years before Mr. Schueller died on Sept. 23, 2015.
Mrs. Schueller was a member of Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross Chapel. She also was a member of the Women’s Catholic Order of Foresters of Saukville, Christian Women’s Society Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross and a 4-H leader in Ozaukee County for several years.
Mrs. Schueller held a number of jobs in her lifetime, some of them simultaneously.
She worked at HVC in Fredonia for many years and laced shoes at home for Lake Church Leather Products for 18 years. She also worked at Shopko in Grafton and cleaned the Holy Cross Chapel.
She and her husband aalong with their son, Wayne, and daughter-in-law, Mickie, were co-owners of Schu Industries in Random Lake.
Mrs. Schueller always enjoyed decorating for holidays and special occasions. She also loved flowers, providing arrangements for her childrens’ weddings and for church.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, attending musical events and traveling with her husband, having visited each of the 50 states, Germany and Luxembourg.
In 2000, she and her husband were the duke and duchess of Luxemburg Fest.
Mrs. Schueller is survived by her children Wayne (Mickie) of Belgium, Sandy (Larry) Duwell of Belgium, Susan (Kevin) Richison of Belgium and Paul (Naomi) of Cascade; grandchildren Amy (Matt) Brockdorf, Amanda (Robert) Wampner, Dawn (Daniel) Moore, Brian (Lindsey) Duwell, William (Lindsay) Richison, Samuel Richison, Ryan (Brenna) Schueller and Kendra Schueller; seven great grandchildren; brother Robert Schmitz; brother-in-law Killian Burton; and sisters-in-law Marcella Schmitz, Carol Flerchinger, Bernice Schueller, Virginia Schueller and Pearl Paradeis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brother Arthur Schmitz, sisters-in-law Dolores Schmitz, Mildred Burton, Joyce Schmit and Doris Gahan; and brothers-in-law LeRoy Schueller, Robert Schueller, Lyall Flerchinger, Vernon Schmit, John E. Gahan Jr., Thomas Paradeis and Ronald Schueller.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 5:30 p,.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, at Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross Chapel. Father Todd Budde will preside.
Visitation will be at the church from 2:30 p.m. until the Mass. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorials to Divine Savior, Holy Cross Chapel Cemetery and building maintenance funds are requested.
