Carol Campbell

Carol N. Campbell died Monday, Jan. 28, at Harbor Club in Port Washington.  She was 83.

Mrs. Campbell was born in New Haven, Conn., on June 19, 1935, to Stanley and Clara Henze Nicklas. She attended local schools, graduating from The Gateway School of Girls in Connecticut before attending Centenary College in New Jersey.  

On Feb. 3, 1968, she married Ross Campbell in Connecticut. The couple initially lived in New Haven and Old Saybrook, Conn., After a time living near Cleveland, Ohio, they moved to Port Washington, where Mr. Campbell took a position with Modern Equipment.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of St. Simon Episcopal Church in Port Washington, a former member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in River Hills, a member Ozaukee Chapter #147 Order of Eastern

Star in Port Washington and Alice Charter #76 Order of Eastern Star in Hamden, Conn.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband Ross of Port Washington; daughters Heidi (Brad) Behlke of Madison and Gretchen (Robert) Berthiaume of Racine; grandchildren Ali Neylon, Gabi Berthiaume

Haley and Braden Behlke; and great-grandson Nate Neylon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Stanley Nicklas Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at St. Simon the Fisherman Episcopal Church. Father Julien Hill will preside.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. aturday at the church.

Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
