Board approves 2022-23 school calendar

Next year’s Cedar Grove-Belgium school calendar looks much like the 2021-22 version.

The School Board last week approved the calendar with two changes.

A fifth teacher inservice day on March 10 was put back into the calendar. Two years ago, the district added a fifth due to the pandemic, and last year it was taken out, Supt. Chad Brakke said.

The administrative team thought it was important to have that fifth inservice day, he said.

The other change is the dates of inservice days from one each in October and November to one in September and October.

Christmas break runs from Dec. 23 to 30.

Spring break runs from March 27 to 31.

The first day of school is Monday, Sept. 1. The last day is Wednesday, June 7.
