Blood drives to be held this week

The Port Washington Lions Club and the American Red Cross are holding a blood drive on Thursday, March 5.

The drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at The Food Pantry Inc., 1777 Grand Ave., Port Washington.

Walk-ins are welcome.

Those who donate in March will receive a $15 Amazon gift card via email.

The Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage, according to its website.

Port Washington High School and Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin is holding a blood drive at the school gym from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 6.

Appointments are preferred and may be done by calling (877) 232-4376 or by visiting versiti.org/wi.

Donors receive flannel pants while supplies last.
