A big day for the Waubeka Fire Department

The Waubeka Fire Department celebrated its 125th anniversary Saturday with a day of events that included a parade featuring fire trucks from throughout the area as well as the Waubeka department’s classic horse-drawn pumper (right). Chief Jason Caswell (below) led department members along the parade route, and after the parade Calvin Steinert and his grandson Theodore Wilson enjoyed lunch at the fire station. The Waubeka Fire Department was founded in 1899 as the Fire Engine Co. of Fredonia. Photos by Sam Arendt
