Benefits of boxing topic for Parkinson’s group

    A presentation on the benefits of non-contact boxing for people with Parkinson’s disease will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Newcastle Place in Mequon.
    The presentation by Rock Steady Boxing Milwaukee will also discuss the ways various levels of exercise can accommodate people with varying degrees of Parkinson’s.
    The talk is part of the monthly Parkinson Disease Support Group, which meets in the community room at Newcastle Place, 12600 N. Port Washington Rd.
    Beginning in February, the group will meet on the second Thursday of each month.
