Bar ‘wrestling’ lands pair of in-laws in jail

Just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, police were called to the Railroad Station tavern for a report of a fight in progress.

According to an incident report, when officers arrived they met with a 41-year-old New York man who said he and his brother-in-law got into a fight in the bar over family issues.

The bartender told officers she noticed the two men in the corner of the bar and described the altercation as “wrestling.”

The brother-in-law was identified as a 41-year-old Saukville man, whom officers met with at his residence. He confirmed the details of the incident.

Both men were taken to the Ozaukee County jail. Charges for disorderly conduct were being requested against both men.

In other incidents:

A 64-year-old Shorewood man told police the parked car he was sitting in on Railroad Street was struck three times by a truck the night of Dec. 15, according to a police report.

When police arrived, the man told officers the truck was parked in front of the Rally Time Bar and that the driver had gone inside the bar.

Police made contact with the driver of the truck, a 49-year-old Town of Saukville woman, who failed field sobriety tests and produced a blood-alcohol reading of 0.203 on a preliminary breath test, more than two and a half times the legal limit of 0.08.

The woman was arrested and taken to the Ozaukee County Jail.  She was issued a municipal traffic citation for first-offense drunken driving.

Just after midnight on Dec. 17, Saukville police were called to a parking lot on the 300 block of North Dries Street where a verbal altercation was taking place.  

According to a police report:

Three male  teenagers —a 17 year-old Fredonia man, an 18 year-old Fredonia man and an 18 year-old Port Washington man — admitted to drinking earlier in the evening, which preliminary breath tests confirmed.  

The three teenagers said an altercation happened inside the apartment building with a 21-year-old man.  Police went inside to speak to the man, who was also very intoxicated and confirmed a physical altercation took place.

The 21-year-old man was arrested for an open warrant with the Butler Police Department as well as a probation hold. He was also cited for disorderly conduct and was transported to the Ozaukee County Jail.

The three teens were cited for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
