Armed man arrested Monday after threatening to hurt himself, a relative

A 36-year-old Grafton man who was armed and threatened to harm himself and a family member just before noon Monday was taken into custody by Grafton Police and the Ozaukee County Special Response Team without incident.

The man was taken into protective custody and was to be transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation, according to the Grafton Police Department.

The incident began about 11:50 a.m. when the department received a 911 call about the man, who the caller said had a gun, was threatening suicide and threatened to harm a family member.
