Annual community sing to be held Nov. 3 in Mequon
The second annual community sing celebration by the Wisconsin Singer/Songwriter Series will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Unitarian Church North in Mequon.
The event will feature Midwest folk singers and song leaders Mark Dvorak, Julie Thompson and Craig Siemsen.
They will lead the audience in singing well-known and loved songs, with lyrics provided.
“The idea is to get people of all ages singing together in a social setting. The experience can be transforming,” Siemsen said. “We try to choose familiar songs that the audience may already know, but we also like to challenge them with other types of songs that may be unfamiliar.”
Adult tickets are $18 in advance or $22 at the door and $10 for students. Discounts of $1 per donated food items to a maximum $4 will be given at the door.
Advance tickets are available at Vines to Cellar in Port Washington, Grapes & Tastes and the Stagecoach Inn, both in Cedarburg, and North Shore Bank branches in Grafton and Mequon.
Coffee, water, juices and snacks will be available for purchase.
The church is at 13800 N. Port Washington Rd.
