All aboard the Polar Express

Youngsters from the Port Washington, Grafton and Cedarburg areas climbed aboard the Polar Express Saturday to visit the North Pole, aka the Cedarburg Community Gym, and its most notable resident, Santa Claus. While there, the children participated in a variety of activities, including caroling, cookie decorating and making reindeer food. Clockwise from top photo: Sara Walenta took a holiday photo of Jacob, 3, and Dane, 6, Walenta. Trevor Green, 10, looked pensive as he penned a letter to Santa. Elves (from left) Sophee Shell, Kaelyn Stangel and Emily Van Ermen took a cocoa break. The annual event is sponsored by the parks and recreation departments in the Village of Grafton and cities of Port and Cedarburg. Photos by Sam Arendt
