Adding an amenity to one of Port’s most popular parks

A crew from the Port Washington Street Department worked to excavate and grade a portion of Upper Lake Park last week, preparing to create two sand volleyball courts west of the parking lot across from Possibility Playground. The regulation-sized courts will replace a grass court that had been in the park for some time. The Rotary Club of Port Washington-Saukville obtained a grant for the project and approached the city about making it reality, Public Works Director Rob Vanden Noven said.
