12,000 children to receive toys through Kids2Kids

More than 24,000 toys were donated to the 14th annual Kapco’s Kids2Kids Christmas Celebratio
n on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Company officials said that is the second highest total in history, but they are still counting the donations from 160 schools and businesses. More than 12,000 low-income children in southeastern Wisconsin will receive toys this Christmas thanks to the efforts of about 450 volunteers. Handler Cindy Phillips walked a reindeer through the lobby filled with thousands of toys (top photo). Amanda and Evelyn, 10, Lindstrom enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate outside the Grafton metal stamping company. Chris Reitzner (left) helped Chase Majinski roast marshmallows. Grafton High School’s Chamber Singers performed Christmas carols during the event.
