“Mean Girls Jr.” will be presented by the Port Washington Recreation Department’s Port Teen Theatre at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, and at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The play will be staged at the Port Washington High School Performing Arts Center.

The “fetch” musical tells the story of Cady Heron, who grew up on an African savanna but is unprepared for life in suburban Illinois.

She takes on The Plastics, a trio of frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George, devising a “Revenge Party” to end Regina’s reign with Cady going undercover as an aspiring Plastic. When the lines between the real Cady and her Plastic self get blurred, she must find her way back to herself and her true friends.

Tickets are $10 to $15 and can be purchased online at www.hometowntickets.com/portrec.
