Grafton resident Wallace E. Blank, 92, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
    Mr. Blank was born in Grafton on Nov. 17, 1925, to Fred and Alma Goetter Blank. He attended Grafton High School and went on to work for the family farm, where he raised crops and cattle.  
    In May 1946, Mr. Blank began his service in the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged in April 1947.  
    After returning to Grafton, Mr. Blank married Janis Wendtlandt on Oct. 1, 1947.
    Mr. Blank maintained the family farm and worked with his father at Blank’s Feed Mill in Port Washington. He later worked for Grafton Co-Op, Power Products as a machinist for 10 years, and the Grafton School System.  
    Mr. Blank is survived by his sons Darrel (Shelley) and David (Becky), both of Grafton, and Dale of Port Washington; daughter-in-law Elsie Blank of Illinois, brother-in-law Roger (Judy) Wendtlandt of Grafton, and sister-in-law Diane Wendtlandt of Oshkosh.  
    He is further survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  
    Mr. Blank was preceded in death by his wife Janis; son Donald; great-grandson Benjamin; and siblings Elmer “Spitz,” Fritz, Lorela Blank, Anita Junkans, and Lenore Koehler; and in-laws Ruth and Erna Blank, Oscar Junkans and Alois Koehler.  
    A memorial gathering was held Monday, Jan. 8, at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton. The Rev. John Norquist officiated.
    Internment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Grafton.
