Kenneth R. Ballowe, 71, of Grafton, and formerly of Arlington Heights, Ill., died Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Columbia St. Mary’s Horizon Hospice in Mequon.
    Mr. Ballowe was born in Chicago on Oct. 25, 1946, to Kenneth and Casimira Mordell Ballowe.
    He attended Holy Innocents Catholic Grade School in Chicago and graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago in 1964.  He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves until 1966.
    Mr. Ballowe had a long career in the automotive aftermarket, first working as a manufacturers’ sales representative and later as sales agency principal and owner in Chicago. During this time, he won numerous sales awards from the companies he represented.
    Later, he became the vice president of sales and marketing for CEC Industries in Lincolnshire, Ill., for 15 years.
    Throughout his career, Mr. Ballowe was active in a number of industry associations and their committees.
    After retiring in 2014, he worked part time at Home Depot in Grafton.
    Mr. Ballowe is survived by his wife Linda Nestelberger Ballowe of Grafton, stepsons Charles (Aubrey) Sakowicz of Lombard, Ill., and Andrew (Laura) Sakowicz of Tomahawk, granddaughter Cheyenne Sakowicz, brother Terry Ballowe, and brother-in-law Thomas (Kimbr-Lee) Nestelberger of Crystal Lake, Ill.
    A memorial Mass will held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25,  at St. Anne Catholic Church in Barrington, Ill. Father Michael Sparough will officiate.
    Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the Mass.  
    Memorials are suggested to the Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat House or Project Hope – St. Anne-Barrington.
    Mueller Funeral Home, Cedarburg, handled the arrangements.
