Jean L. Sepstead (nee Leistikow) died peacefully with her family and friends at her side on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2018. at the age of 94.
She was the beloved wife of the late Stuart for 57 years; loving mother of Robin (Richard) Vail; proud grandmother of Sunny (Will) Debelak, Jason (Tammy) Vail, Kevin (Sarah) Vail and Matthew Vail; and proud great-grandmother of Pepper Debelak, Atlas Debelak, Lucas Vail, David Vail and Nathan Vail. She will also be remembered by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandsons Tanner and Tucker McQuiston, granddaughter Sara Vail and sister Helen (the late Jack) Henderson.
Jean attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated from Milwaukee Downer College, and was a member of Alpha Xi Delta. She was active with F.F. Sepstead and Son Inc. and retired from the Sheboygan County Department of Aging.
She founded the Random Lake Library and was a charter member of the Random Lake Historical Society, a member of the Random Lake Garden Club and Grand Marshal of the Random Lake Parade. In addition, she was a member of the Eastern Star Masonic Lodge and a past Job's Daughters Honored Queen. She served as vice president of the Sheboygan County Republican Party.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 98 Random Lake Rd., Random Lake, from 2 p.m. until the memorial service at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials, which will be divided among Jean's favorite charities, may be made to the family.
Private interment will be at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, is assisting the Sepstead family.
