Joel E. Widmer of Green Bay, a former resident of Saukville, enjoyed grilling and spending time with friends and family.
“He was very funny and could make anybody laugh,” his mother Donna said. “He was also very caring, and his world revolved around his daughter.”
Mr. Widmer, 48, died from a pulmonary embolism on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at a friend’s house in Green Bay.
He was born on Sept. 5, 1969, in Milwaukee. He grew up in Saukville and attended Port Washington High School.
Mr. Widmer enjoyed scuba diving, traveling to Mexico, fishing, four-wheeling, riding his bike, watching the Green Bay Packers, repairing small engines and his dog Zeus. More than anything, he loved spending time with his daughter Amber.
Mr. Widmer is survived by his daughter Amber; mother Donna Widmer; sister Roechelle Schumacher; and special friend Lisa Woods.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
A memorial service was held on Monday, Oct. 9, at Cedar Springs Church in Slinger.
Simply Cremation, Green Bay, handled the arrangements.
