Trails and Treats to be held at Riveredge Oct. 25

Trails and Treats, a Halloween event at Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville, will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25. Families may hike the Riveredge trails and visit educational stations along a one-mile loop, visit with costumed woodland creatures teaching about their habits and habitats and receive candy-free treats. Seasonal crafts will be taught and a tree-climbing event will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Climbers must be 7 or older. There will be a mini-farmers market selling Riveredge produce, as well as cider, trail mix and sweets. A campfire will be set up. People are encouraged to come in costume and bring flashlights. The fee for the Treats and Trail event is $9 per child for nonmembers, $7 for Trail Pass members and free for All-Access members. Adults are admitted free.
